ESCC REQUIREMENTS FOR CAPABILITY APPROVAL
The newly published ESCC Basic Specifications supports the Process Capability Approval (PCA) scheme which will serve, for example, the certification of chip and wire hermetic hybrid lines in the future. The ESCC Process Capability Approval does not aim at the qualification of individual components or finished product. The scope of this sort of certification is a technology domain - a set of materials and processes - which has been demonstrated to be capable of producing components or providing component-related services in conformance with these specifications and general ESCC requirements for Quality Assurance
